Wow wow wow… where to begin? I’ll start with the incredible service. Evertime we come in we are instantly greeted with bright smiles. The servers are always spectacular and continue a great vibe the entire evening. In addition to the great service, the food is absolutely stunning. The portions are heaping and always seasoned to perfection. We always have to get an order of the chicken and waffles with their SUPER crispy sweet potato fries. The burnt ends with plantains are also a must try! I highly recommend checking this spot out. Best BBQ in all of NEO. Thank you so much Oak and Embers!!!

Cozy, tavern-style eatery. It's much better than Old Carolina. The food was very good. My wife and I each got the beef brisket. It's no Texas brisket but was still tender. The BBQ sauce had a strong hint of apples, which I'm not a fan of. The sides were my favorite part. Sweet potato fries were crispy and tasty. The white cheddar grits were delicious and flavorful. The cornbread had a nice sugar glaze that made me think of coffee cake. The service was fair, maybe a little on the slow side. To be fair, it was probably the dinner rush. I'd definitely visit again.

The food was amazing. Best pulled pork I have had in the north and definitely beats out a lot of the southern pulled pork I've had. Great prices for the portion size. Almost everyone walks out with left overs! I recommend getting a reservation or else you will be waiting a while. You wait a little longer for your food as well but it is well worth the wait.

This was my first time here. And, I was very pleased. Our waitress was pleasant. Our food was awesome. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I don't know the chef/cook was on this particular Monday, but hats off to you! We had burnt ends, traditional wings with bourbon bbq sauce, maple bourbon salmon, and green beans. Yum!

Had the pick 3: ribs, brisket, and sausage. Tried the pulled pork off wife's plate. All were fantastic. Especially the sausage (my favorite). My kid devoured most of the BBQ half-chicken. The corn bread, cheesy succotash, cheesy grits, mac & cheese sides were all delicious. Prompt, friendly service. Draft beer selection is a bit limited, but offers a good selection of styles for us beer snobs. A bit uncomfortable sitting in the bar area, next to the outside door, but I can't fault them for that. One of the best meals I've had in recent memory. We will definitely be back for the next craving for BBQ. Will try a bourbon flight next time.

WOW everything was amazing! We were in the area traveling and decided to pop in for a bite. The atmosphere is super welcoming, the staff amazing and the food outstanding. Prices were very fair for the sizes of everything which is a huge bonus. We have already decided we will make the hour drive away from home to come back again :)

We had my finance Ken's birthday there. Had 11 people, service was excellent, food was over the moon,so flipping good!! Took alot of leftovers home. We will be back!!

Servings size was beyond expectations. Taste was what is should be! Service great and price was moderate and we will be back!!

The atmosphere is good, the drinks are good and the service is great. We had a good time and we're not rushed. A wonderful bourbon selection.. The food is good and reasonably priced.
